ABACA FARMING TRAINING SLATED

Twelve farmers coming from four barangays of the city will undergo an abaca farming training seminar on July 8 to 9,  this week,  City Agriculturist Edwin Lapuz announced.

Lapuz said abaca experts from the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, the former Camarines Sur State Agricultural College in Pili, will conduct the seminar meant for the 12 farmers who were the beneficiaries of the goat dispersal project of the city government.

He said that the planting of abaca on areas grazed by the  goats is expected to provide additional income for the farmers and will help check soil erosion on those areas.
