Seal of Good Housekeeping Pict 1Iriga City has earned a remarkable reputation in good governance being the “Silver Seal of Good Housekeeping”awardee for 2013 given by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) National Office. The Seal of Good Housekeeping for LGUs is in line with the department’s commitment to aggressively scale up interventions to raise the level of local governance that values transparency, accountability, participation, and performance. It aims to recognize LGUs with best practices on sound fiscal management based on the findings of the Commission on Audit (COA) on financial statements and its compliance to the “Full Disclosure Policy”.

The city also bagged the following awards: Ranked 6 in construction business, 7th in Governance Efficiency, 9th in Number of Households with Internet Connections, 17th in Fastest Business Permit Processing, and 46th in the Most Competitive Cities of the Philippines.
